We have 5 meetings each academic year where the full Local Governing Body meet.
Key aspects of an LGB meeting include:
Governance: LGBs are responsible for overseeing the management and performance of the school. They help ensure that the school operates effectively, complies with educational standards, and meets the needs of its students.
Policy and Strategy: LGB meetings may involve discussions on school policies, strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, and other important aspects of the school's operation.
Accountability: LGB members are held accountable for the school's performance and are responsible for reporting to higher levels of governance, such as the trust's board or the local authority.
Parent and Community Involvement: LGBs include representation from parents and the local community to ensure that the school's interests align with those of its stakeholders.
Education and Safeguarding: Ensuring the school provides a safe and effective educational environment for students is a significant focus of LGBs.
