My role is to ensure that the governing board has all the information it needs to do its job well, according to the DfE's Governance Handbook. This includes helping the governing board to access data about the school published by the DfE and Ofsted, and providing relevant information the board needs to know to ensure the school is being run well. I provide five written reports each year which include information about the school's curriculum, culture, pupils' progress, pupil applications and admissions to the school, attendance and exclusion data, staff absence, recruitment, retention, performance and the quality of teaching.
