This week's highlight has been our whole-school trip to see Dick Whittington at Harrogate Theatre. The show was amazing, and I was so proud of the behaviour of all Coppice Valley children. The whole-school walked very sensibly to and from the theatre (we were a little chilly!) and all the children thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Mr O'Leary did get picked on a few times by the pantomime dame, which made for excellent entertainment. Next year's performance of Beauty and the Beast has already been booked in! A big thanks for all our staff who helped to make sure this trip when ahead safely and successfully.

Today, we have officially welcomed Christmas into the school. The decorations are up, inside and outside, and we have a new 12ft Christmas tree in the hall! A big thank you to our site supervisor Mr Gregg, who has been working hard to do this. We would also like to thank Horticap for their generous donation of a Christmas tree to school, which you can see in our entrance way.

This weekend, we wish our choir good luck as they perform at the Harrogate Christmas Concert at the Conference Centre. Approximately 300 primary school children will be joining forces with Harrogate Choral Society and Harrogate Symphony Orchestra to perform. Fingers crossed for a special appearance from a man in a red suit too!

Children's Clothing

Please make sure your child has appropriate footwear, a warm coat, hat and gloves as the weather gets colder. We always aim to get the children outside at break time and lunch times. If you need help with any of the above items, please email: wrights@cvps.rklt.co.uk

SEND/ Mental Health Drop-in

shutterstock_1219530016 (Small)

On Tuesday 12th December, there will be a SEND/mental health drop-in session 9am-10am. If you have any questions about, SEND or mental health, this is an opportunity for an informal chat over a drink and biscuit, with Mr Cawte and/or Miss Wright. Mrs Fineran will also be in school and so you will be able to say hello.

 Parent Surveys

Thank you so much to all our families who took time to complete our surveys. We received some really useful feedback on resources families would like in our Community Hub, as well as lots of very positive feedback on the school. Soon we will provide you with more detail of the outcomes and any actions we are taking. There is still chance to complete the surveys, if you haven't already.
