SEND
Coppice Valley takes a whole school approach to Inclusion.
We work together to ensure every child achieves the best possible outcomes they can, academically, socially and emotionally. We care about the development of the whole child and have high expectations for all children. We recognise that some children may need additional help to support their individual learning needs. In collaboration with parents, carers and the support of external agencies, we aim for all children to make progress, academic, social and emotional progress, from their own starting points.
Mental Health & Well-being
Coppice Valley is committed to improving mental health and well-being through education and offering support. We teach all pupils about mental health and how to look after their own and others around them.

Speech and Language Therapy
We work in partnership with our local health care providers including Harrogate Hospital's Speech and Language Therapy Team. In school, we allocate a proportion of an advanced teaching assistant's time to liaising with the speech and language therapists and carrying out support programmes in school. If we feel your child may benefit from speech and language therapy we will talk to you about putting in a referral to the service to get their advice and support.
Please talk to your child's class teacher, or our special needs coordinator, Jo Fineran, if you are concerned about your child's speech or language development.
