The Coppice Curriculum Intent
At Coppice Valley, our curriculum is designed to deliver the core aims of the National Curriculum through carefully sequenced units, ensuring pupils connect knowledge through skills with clear progression over time.
Our values of being brave, kind, and curious are at the heart of everything we do. We are brave in exploring big ideas, outdoor learning and tackling challenging concepts. With kindness underpinning our approach, we ensure pupils grow in respect, empathy, and responsibility, celebrating diversity and learning to care for each other and the world around them., we challenge stereotypes with a windows and mirror curriculum. We nurture curiosity through discovery, creativity, and problem-solving, enriched by trips and visitors. We address real-world issues, such as sustainability, and give pupils real-life experiences that broaden pupils’ horizons and spark a love of learning.
We enhance and enrich our curriculum with trips, visitors, real life experiences and outdoor education wherever we can. Community involvement is very important to us and we endeavour to invite as many families and visitors as we can to join us on our learning journey.
