Beech - KS1 Year 1
Welcome to Year 1
Welcome to Beech class, Year 1 at Coppice Valley Primary.
We have a wonderful half term planned, filled with learning about the Stone age and Iron age. We will be exploring our key text 'Where the wild things are', poetry by Michael Rosen and learning new key vocabulary.
We will also be choosing our own learning through play, creativity, experiments, music, and discussion. This half term we also work on one of our Coppice 50 challenges 'perform in front of an audience' with our first whole school assembly. There will also be time for baking and designing as part of our DT focus.
PE days are Monday and Friday
Drop-off time is between 8:45am - 8.55am. Pick-up time is between 3:25. Please drop off and collect your child from the Beech class door - this is accessed on the other side of school to EYFS although the doors are next to each other.
Please inform us if somebody different is picking your child up from school.
Please make sure your child brings their own water bottle to school each day.
Here is the teaching timetable for Beech Class for this half term:
This term we will be focusing our learning through British History - Stone age to Bronze Age. Our focused text is 'Where the wild things are' and we will be doing lots of design technology.
