Our School
At Coppice Valley, our vision is to inspire a love of learning and nurture the whole child – socially, emotionally, and academically. We believe education has the power to change lives and that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive through meaningful experiences and high-quality teaching.
Our ethos is built on strong relationships between staff, pupils, families, and the wider community. We aim to create a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and respected.
Our curriculum reflects our school values of Brave, Kind, and Curious:
Brave learners are confident to take on challenges, explore ideas, and persevere.
Kind learners respect themselves, others, and the world around them.
Curious learners ask questions, seek understanding, and show enthusiasm for learning.
We enrich our curriculum with outdoor learning opportunities, making full use of our extensive school grounds and Forest School, so pupils develop resilience, creativity, and a connection with nature. We also build in cultural, moral, and spiritual learning to broaden perspectives and deepen understanding of the diverse world in which we live.
At Coppice Valley, we celebrate diversity and actively teach pupils to respect differences, including those protected under the Equality Act. We expect staff, pupils, and families to uphold our commitment to equality, fairness, and inclusivity while challenging discrimination or unfair behaviour.
At Coppice Valley, our values are more than words on a page – they are the curriculum threads that run through everything we do. After consulting with our community, we chose Brave, Kind and Curious because they reflect the qualities we want to nurture in every child.
