Sports Premium

At Coppice Valley we value how PE contributes to the mental and physical health of our pupils. We want our pupils to leave us with positive attitudes towards sport and fitness and have healthy exercise habits for life.

We also recognise how PE develops character in children like persistence, resilience, team work and ambition. We are committed to ensuring that pupils receive high quality, well-planned PE every week delivered by confident and well-trained teachers and coaches to a high level. We have invested in training and resources from Real PE and Harrogate Town Football Club. Each year, children at Coppice Valley benefit from enrichment sessions with local experts such as dance teacher Sophie Zealand, Harrogate Hockey Club and of course, Harrogate Town Football Club. Clubs form a part of the additional provision our curriculum offers. We run various clubs at different times of the year such as gymnastics, multi-sports, running, athletics, karate and football clubs.
