PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friends of the School Association)
What is the PTFA?
If you’re new to the school, you might be wondering, what is a PTFA? The Parent, Teacher, and Friends Association (PTFA) is a volunteer group of parents, teachers, and supporters who work together to raise funds for school projects that benefit all our children. Anyone is welcome to join us, there is no need for a regular commitment, just support when you can.
The PTFA focuses on “in year spend,” meaning the money you help to raise will be put to good use quickly ensuring your child sees the benefits. In addition to our regular purchases, like new starter book bags and leavers' gifts, we're focusing on making the most of our amazing school grounds.
We do this by running events throughout the school year including our sponsored bounce, school discos and seasonal fairs.
The PTFA aim to pay for the following items each year. These are items which 'bookend' your child's time at Coppice Valley:
- Bookbags, book and teddy bear for new Reception starters
- Leavers gifts for Year 6 (or in-year leavers)
- Ice Cream Van (annually, for every child)
- Y6 Residential Coach
- Panto - Snacks for all pupils
