Coppice Valley Primary School (92)

Hello,

damian-mccoig-2HqpqSqy0zg-unsplashThere’s some light snow predicted for next week. I don’t think this will impact on school but just in case it turns out to be heavier than predicted, please remember our snow closure procedures.

  • Always check your texts and emails before heading out to school
  • Don’t call school to see if we’re open or if we’re closing early, as we will be busy making arrangements and won’t be able to answer the phone.

Please make sure your phone numbers and email contact details are up to date on the Arbor app. It is a good idea to check that the people you nominated as your 2nd and 3rd contacts for us to call if we cannot get hold of you, are up to date too.

Red Nose Day March 17th

This year we are supported Comic Relief with a “Wear what makes you Happy!” day. Children can come to school in clothes that make them feel happy but please make sure they are suitable for the weather and outdoor play. Children can bring a cash donation or you can donate via Parent Pay.

Barefoot Walk Path

Our new path is a huge success and will be appearing on Your Harrogate’s website soon. Thank you to all who supported the making of it which was funded entirely through grants, sponsorship and donations of time and materials. Huge thanks to Emily May and Sam Middleton who lead on the project, donating tons of time and materials. Thanks also to Steve from S.W Constructions in particular for help with the path.

Generous donations or discounts were received from Stuart at HG1 Gardens, Nigel at New Park Trees and Landscape, B&Q Harrogate, IBPM Builders Yard, Johnsons of Whixeley, Harrogate Timber, Marsland Timer and Topps Tiles.

Pre-loved Uniform

We’re running short of pre-loved uniform so if you have any that you could donate, we would greatly appreciate it.

Library Volunteers

We’re looking for parents or grandparent volunteers who would read with our older children and help to keep our new libraries in order. Volunteers would need to agree to a DBS check which the school would organise. If you’re interested please email office@cvps.rklt.co.uk

Movie Night Booking is Open– Wednesday 29th March

To book your children into our Free, Year of Giving Back Movie Night, please use this link.

We need you to complete one booking form for each child. With the cost and availability of food at the moment, we’ve had to make some changes to the menu. We’ll be serving hot dogs/veggie dogs and chips and popcorn. Children can bring a packed tea (no nuts, sweets or fizzy drinks) if they do not like the hot dog & chips offer.

Emma MeadusHave a great weekend,

Kind regards,

Emma Meadus

Headteacher
