What a fantastic week it’s been at Coppice Valley! Although outdoor learning is something we champion every day through our Forest School and outdoor curriculum, this week we joined in the national celebration of Outdoor Learning Day. Our pupils enjoyed some brilliant lessons in the fresh air.
Our assemblies this week were full of energy and inspiration. We marked International Dance Day with a special dance assembly led by AM Academy, giving our pupils (and staff) a positive and energised start to the day. We also welcomed Lauren Doherty into school to deliver a powerful road safety session to children in Y4-6.
This week, we held our online safety and social media parent workshop, which proved to be an eye-opening session about the very real dangers children face online today.
In just six weeks, we have celebrated World Book Day, enjoyed teachers reading to pupils after school in their pyjamas, welcomed Peter Rabbit on Walk to School Day, hosted a Pupil Voice Conference, planted over 800 trees on our site, hosted in a girls' football kick-about, had a Year 1&2 sleepover and so much more.
It has been another fantastic and eventful week at Coppice Valley!
Firstly, a huge thank you to all the parents and carers who attended our Parents’ Evenings this week. These meetings are such a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, celebrate their achievements, and work together to support their learning. We appreciate your time and partnership in their education.
