Miss McNamara's Message

This week we were pleased to welcome the Red Kite Learning Trust Early Years lead into school. They visited to see our provision in action, with a particular focus on early reading. It was a real pleasure to share the wonderful progress our youngest children are making.

We also enjoyed having some new school photographs taken. The sunshine broke through just in time, helping us capture some really lovely moments of our children looking smart and full of smiles.

Another highlight of the week was the official opening of our Music Garden. This new space will not only enhance music lessons but also give children the chance to explore sounds and rhythm during playtimes. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this exciting project to life.

Looking ahead, next week our Year 5 and 6 pupils will take part in music workshops on Monday. On Friday 10th we will also be marking World Mental Health Day with a whole-school activity making breathing beads - a calming and mindful tool that children can use to support their wellbeing.

Finally, a polite reminder about parking. We have recently received some concerns from local residents regarding unsafe and inconsiderate parking near school. Please take extra care when dropping off and collecting your child, and help us to keep our pupils and community safe.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support.

📚 A Little Help to Grow Our Book Collection?

We’ve put together an Amazon Wishlist of books we’d love to add to our school’s growing libraries and outdoor learning spaces. These titles have been chosen to spark curiosity, support wellbeing, and encourage a lifelong love of reading.

If you’d like to support us, we’d be truly grateful. Every book donated helps us create a richer, more inspiring environment for our pupils.

🛒 Browse the Wishlist:
You’ll find a mix of nature-themed stories, inclusive reads, and books that support emotional literacy.

📦 How It Works:
If you choose to donate a book, Amazon will send it directly to us with no wrapping or postage needed.

PTFA News

Reminder that if you would like to take on a role within the PTFA, please could you email a short 200-250 word personal statement as to why you think you would be best suited to the role. Please make sure that this is sent to PTFA@cvps.rklt.co.uk no later than Monday 6th October.

🍁 Outdoor Tip: Look for Autumn Rainbows in the Leaves 🌈

What colours can you see outdoors? Deep reds, golden yellows, burnt oranges, and even hints of purple? Together, they form an autumn rainbow, scattered across branches and pathways.

Collect a few fallen leaves and arrange them by colour. It’s a simple, calming way to explore the beauty of change and the science of seasons.
