Friday Update 04.04.2025 - Happy Easter!

Posted 4th April 2025

Miss McNamara's Message

As we come to the end of another busy half term, I want to take a moment to celebrate all the fantastic things happening at Coppice Valley. It has been an incredible few weeks, filled with hard work and exciting events across the school. In just six weeks, we have celebrated World Book Day, enjoyed teachers reading to pupils after school in their pyjamas, welcomed Peter Rabbit on Walk to School Day, hosted a Pupil Voice Conference, planted over 800 trees on our site, hosted in a girls' football kick-about, had a Year 1&2 sleepover and so much more. A big shout out to our amazing staff who make all these things possible and to you, our parent community for supporting us to make school a great place to be.

We finished off the half term today with our Values Assembly - a huge well done to all the children who were commended for demonstrating our values every day.

Oak: Olek and Jasmine

Coppice Valley Nursery

Some of you may remember that we opened a consultation and put in a bid for funding to open a school-based nursery. I am absolutely delighted to share that we have been successful in securing a £150,000 grant to open nursery provision for 26 three-year-olds from September 2026! This is a significant step forward for our school and community, ensuring high-quality early years education in a nurturing environment. Over the coming months, we will be working on plans for the new provision, and we will keep you updated as things progress.

Thank you for your continued support – whether it's encouraging reading at home, attending school events, or simply being part of our school community. We are so grateful for everything you do.

Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable break, and we look forward to seeing you next term!

New Clubs for Summer 1

Just a gentle reminder to sign up for the After School Activity Clubs for your child before we return to school.

This term, we are introducing exciting new clubs such as the Harry Potter Club ⚡🧙, Ukulele Club 🎸, Girls Football, Upcycling Club with Hannah Rae Arts 🧵, and Athletics Club with Evolution Fitness. Additionally, our popular clubs are making a return, and our old faithful clubs will continue as well. We can't wait to see you there!

To see the new clubs, please visit our Activity Club Page.

New Menu after Easter 🥙

Please see the new menu here. Copies should have been sent home with each child to take home and stick on the fridge!

At all Morrison's Cafe's...

This Easter, Morrisons has partnered with Kellogg’s to launch a breakfast club where the whole family can request a free bowl of cereal. Both adults and children can choose from a bowl of Cornflakes, Rice Krispies or Coco Pops, with a choice of dairy and non dairy milk, when they order a ‘Kellogg’s breakfast’ before 11am!

Leavers Hoodies - Now available to order! 🎉

We are excited to announce that instructions for ordering leavers hoodies for Willow Class have been sent out via email today. Please check your inbox for all the details. The online shop closes on Friday, 25 April 2025 at 12 noon.

If you encounter any issues or have questions, please reach out to us after the Easter Holiday. We are here to help!

Any spare pots and pans?

If anyone has any spare pots, pans, plastic spatulas, or similar items for our mud kitchens and forest school, please consider donating them to the school. Thank you!
