What an incredibly busy and exciting week it has been at Coppice Valley. There has been so much going on, it has been hard to keep up! It has been great to see our pupils embracing all the opportunities on offer at our school.
? World Book Day was a fantastic celebration, thanks to the brilliant organisation by Miss Winterburn! The children looked amazing in their costumes, dressed as what they want to be when they grow up. A huge thank you to our parents for bringing the children back in the evening for story time and hot chocolate - we hope your child enjoyed it as much as we did! Another shout-out to Imagined Things Bookshop for visiting so the children could spend their World Book Day vouchers in school too.
⚽ Girls' Football Tournament & International Women’s Day - what a fab combination! Miss Baxter is our brilliant PE Lead who does a fantastic job organising sports events in and out of school. Girls across school played football and their peers supported them with lots of encouragement and score keepong! It was also great to see Mrs Riley's football skills with some (113!) keepy-uppies - can you beat her?
? The Pupil Voice Conference was also a huge success, thank you to Mrs Fineran for organising this and launching the event this morning. Pupils shared their views on school life and took part in a variety of activities today, including:
We were also delighted to welcome our governors, Penny and Jan, who visited to see everything in action this morning.
? Our tree planting project has commenced this week, and we can already see how beautiful it’s going to look! Every child has had the chance to plant a tree on our grounds and we have another few days of planting ahead. The trees will form part of a nature trail, with a path through the middle.
⭐ Finally, a huge well done to our amazing pupils for their excellent behaviour this week! With so many off-timetable activities, they showed great enthusiasm and resilience. A big thank you to our parents too for keeping up with the fast pace of life at Coppice Valley and making sure your child has costumes and spare shoes. We appreciate your support in our exciting school!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Bookings can be made from Tuesday 4 March at 7pm on the Parent Arbor App. Any issues, please contact the school office for assistance.
Thank you for taking part in our consultation about the Red Kite Learning Trust.
Red Kite Learning Trust is a family of schools who work together for the benefit of children, young people and their families across North and West Yorkshire.
This is very much ‘our’ Trust rather than ‘The’ Trust. As we enter our 10th year as a Trust, it is time to think about the future and what we need to do to make sure we are as strong together in 2030 as we are now, so that we continue to ensure children and young people have the best possible life chances in an ever-changing world.
Please scan the QR code to access the parent survey or ask a member of staff for a paper copy.
