Friday Update 12.7.24
Posted 12th July 2024
Message from Miss McNamara
This week's highlight has certainly been our transition afternoon on Thursday, when all children spent time with their new teacher and teaching assistant. There was a lovely buzz around school and some really lovely activities happening in the classrooms. Our new reception cohort did get a little wet when they confused the water cooler with water play, but it was nothing that Miss Baxter and a mop couldn't handle!
Today we said 'goodbye' to Mrs Jeyes - we wish her well in her new admin role and thank her for all she has done for Coppice Valley over the last 10 years.
We also had our Brave, Kind, Curious assembly and despite a technical hitch and an unsuccessful acapella version of 'Three Lions', we had a wonderful time hearing of all the ways that children at Coppice embody our school values. A huge well done to:
Oak: Everyone! A fantastic first year at school and you can now all read and write!
Year 1: Edward and Hallie
Year 2: Leonard and Grace
Year 3: Oliver and Uma
Year 5: Leyla and Oscar
Year 6: Rosa and Francesca
