Miss McNamara's Message
This week, I would like to extend a huge congratulations to our Year 6 pupils and staff for the fantastic way they prepared for and approached their assessments. The children showed great resilience, determination and maturity throughout the week, and we are incredibly proud of the calm and positive attitude they demonstrated. A special thank you also goes to the Year 6 team for all of their hard work, care and dedication in supporting the pupils so well.
I would also like to thank all staff across school for their flexibility and teamwork this week as we adapted routines to support our pupils. The children were particularly brilliant on Wednesday, whilst waiting patiently for a later break time.
Finally, our Reception children have represented our school wonderfully on their trip today. They did us proud with their excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and manners throughout their very first offsite visit. Well done to all involved for helping it run so smoothly.
After School Clubs - Summer 2
Bookings for our Summer 2 clubs will go live on Wednesday 20th May at 7pm.
We’re excited to welcome back some firm favourites, including Forest School, alongside a range of new opportunities such as Cooking Club and our Mini-Beast Club. There will also be plenty of active, outdoor clubs to make the most of the warmer weather.
We look forward to seeing lots of children getting involved. Keep an eye out and book early to avoid disappointment!
Polite Reminder - Outstanding Balances
As we approach the end of the academic year, we kindly ask all families to check their accounts to ensure any outstanding balances are cleared. Please take a moment to log in and review:
- Arbor – for school meals and trips
- Enrolmy – for clubs and wraparound care
Clearing balances before the end of term helps us ensure a smooth transition into the new academic year and allows us to finalise our accounts. If you have any queries or need support accessing your accounts, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we’re happy to help.
🌿 Community Garden Update – Call for Quotes
We’re delighted to share that we have been awarded a grant to install a raised and accessible wooden planter in our community garden!
Thank you for supporting our garden project!
🎨 Colour Run – Prize Donations Needed! 🎨
Our exciting PTFA Colour Run is just around the corner next month, and we’re looking for your support to make it a fantastic event for everyone!
We are collecting donations for our tombola and would be incredibly grateful for any prize contributions. Items such as chocolates, sweets, small toys, gift sets, unused toiletries, vouchers, or bottles (non-alcoholic or alcoholic) are all very welcome.
If you’re able to help, please send donations into school. Please pop them into the school office.
Thank you so much for your continued support. We can’t wait to see you there for a fun-filled, colourful day!
Mental Health Awareness Week
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, children across the school took part in a positivity postcard activity, with every child receiving a positive postcard to celebrate kindness and wellbeing.
Thank you to all the families who have already completed our mental health survey. We really appreciate your feedback and will share the outcomes once the survey has closed and responses have been reviewed.
If you have not yet had the opportunity to complete the survey, please click the link below — it only takes two minutes.
We would also like to thank Sarah Guthrie our Mental Health Parent Representative, for their support in researching and sharing resources during this week.

Little Ferns Nursery - Tour Dates
We’re delighted to announce that Little Ferns Nursery is now complete, marking a significant milestone for our school. Over the past few weeks, the space has really come together and is already taking shape as a calm, welcoming environment where children can feel safe, happy and ready to explore.
At the heart of Little Ferns is a strong focus on communication and language development, recognising how vital these early skills are. Our curriculum is designed to immerse children in rich language, high-quality interactions and meaningful experiences to support their development.
The nursery will be led by an experienced Early Years teacher and a skilled Forest School practitioner, offering a thoughtful balance of nurturing indoor provision and purposeful outdoor learning. We aim to help every child grow in confidence, independence and curiosity.
We would be delighted to welcome you into the nursery to see the space for yourself, meet the team and find out more about what we offer.
