Miss McNamara's Message
What a fantastic Sports Day we had! A huge thank you to Miss Baxter for her excellent organisation of the event – it ran like clockwork and was a real celebration of sport and teamwork. Thank you also to all the teachers who practised with their classes in the lead-up, helping our pupils feel confident and prepared on the day. Special thanks to Mrs Riley for her fantastic commentary – she kept us all informed and thoroughly entertained throughout!
A big shout-out to the brave teachers who took part in the surprise teachers' race – a brilliant bit of fun that the children loved! Thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to support, cheer, and encourage every child – your presence is hugely appreciated, especially whilst tolerating the heat. We're also grateful to our wonderful PTFA for keeping everyone refreshed!
In other good news, we’ve celebrated Walk to School Day, encouraging healthy habits and reducing our carbon footprint – well done to everyone who took part!
Our composting toilet installation is also coming along nicely and will be ready for use from Monday. Follow us on social media for updates and photos. This is being funded as part of a grant from Northern Powergrid and will allow us to utilise our outdoor space even more.
Thank you, everyone, for making this week such a success!
Water Bottles
It is a little cooler next week but we have found some children do not have water bottles. Please always ensure your child has a named bottle for school.
🎉 Enrolmy is here – and it’s all about making your life easier! 🎉
From September, schools across the country are making changes to how wraparound care is run, following new guidance from the Department for Education (DfE). These changes are designed to make before- and after-school care more accessible, flexible and consistent for families. As part of this, alongside feedback from our families, we’re updating our booking system to make it easier for you to manage your childcare needs.
We are therefore thrilled to introduce Enrolmy, our brand-new, user-friendly booking system designed with YOU in mind. After listening to your feedback, we’ve made the process smoother, faster, and more convenient than ever.
📅 Bookings for the next academic year are now OPEN!
Before we officially switch to Enrolmy in September, please make sure all payments are up to date on Arbor.

Road Safety Talks - Poster Competition
To end what has been a fantastic academic year of support for Road Safety Talks visits to schools, we would like to run a competition within all the primary schools we have visited over the year. To commemorate our visit’s and to act as an ongoing reminder to the children about Road Safety, we are in the process of making new certificates to leave with each place we visit.
To enter the competition, design a picture which will be used on the certificate. We would like the picture to relate to road safety heroes. Ideas could be a picture of a lollipop person helping children cross the road, or a police officer helping people after an incident on the road. I am sure that the children will have great ideas! We would ask that the picture be submitted on an A4 piece of paper.
There will be 3 prizes; £30 for the 1st prize, £20 for the 2nd prize and £10 for the 3rd prize of WHSmith vouchers for the winners of the competition. There will also be 3 runner up prizes of Road Safety Talks goody bags.
If possible, we would like to display the winners name and school on the poster, but obviously if parents agree to this. It would be nice too if we could arrange for me to present the voucher to the winner.
We would ask for all entries to be submitted by Friday 19th July. Entries can be sent by post or dropped off directly to:
