Miss McNamara's Message
As we draw this half term to a close, we have had another brilliant week at Coppice Valley!
We were delighted to welcome several of our Trustees to school this week. They met with five of our fantastic Year 6 pupils, who spoke with pride and confidence about life at Coppice. The Trustees also toured the school 🏫 and were incredibly impressed by what they saw - engaged learners, purposeful classrooms, and a vibrant school environment. Their feedback was full of praise for our staff, pupils, and the sense of community we’ve built together.
Hutchison's, our caters, treated us to a delicious menu sampling 🍲🍎, we hope you manged to get some out of the front of school on Thursday. 🥗
Our Year 3 pupils had a brilliant time on their trip to Harlow Carr 🌿🚌, exploring nature and deepening their understanding of plant life. They were a credit to the school, with exemplary behaviour and enthusiasm throughout the day. 🌼😊
Back in school, we’ve also taken part in rich learning experiences through our RE workshops, which helped pupils explore different bliefs with curiosity and respect. Today, we rounded off the half-term with our Values Assembly 💖✨this is always a personal highlight and you can see our award winners below.
All of this, in just one week, speaks volumes about the incredible things happening every day at Coppice Valley. 🌈 I couldn’t be prouder of our pupils, staff and wider school community. 🙌👨🏫👩🏫
Wishing you all a restful half term break and we look forward to welcoming everyone back soon, refreshed and ready for the final stretch of the academic year! 📅🌞

🏆 Investors in Families Gold Award
We are proud to announce that Coppice Valley has been awarded the Investors in Families (IiF) Gold Award! 🥇 This prestigious recognition celebrates our unwavering commitment to working closely with families to enhance outcomes for our children. The IiF framework focuses on seven core aims, including supporting families during transitions, promoting health and safety, encouraging fun and enrichment beyond the classroom, and fostering respect, inclusion, and well-being . Achieving the Gold Award reflects our dedication to these principles and our success in embedding them into our school culture.
Farewell to Mr. Greg – Off to New Adventures in the Dales!
It’s with a mix of sadness and excitement that we will be saying goodbye to our wonderful site manager, Mr. Greg, who is leaving us in July. Mr. Greg has been a much-loved part of our school community. Always ready with a smile, a helping hand, and a clever fix for just about anything!
But now, Mr. Greg is off to follow a dream, he’s opening a pub in the Yorkshire Dales! We can already picture the cosy fires, local ales, and his famous sense of humour welcoming walkers and locals alike.
We’ll miss him dearly, but we’re so proud of his new adventure. Thank you, Mr. Greg, for everything you’ve done for our school. We wish you all the best and we’ll definitely be popping in for a lemonade! 🥤
