Friday Update 25.10.2024 - Happy Half Term!
Posted 25th October 2024
Miss McNamara's Message
What a half term! We have had a fantastic 8 weeks in school, getting to know our new EYFS class, seeing our Year 6 class step up to their new responsibilities and successfully onboarding new staff in school.
Last week's disco was a brilliant end of term event, thank you to our PTFA for organising this - please see the information below with future PTFA event dates for your diary.
Today, our Times Tables Rockstars Harrogate competition finished at 8am and Coppice Valley were the winners! Of all the participating schools in Harrogate, our pupils scored the most points on average, per pupil. Well done to everyone who played - we are feeling very pleased with ourselves! A special shout-out to Leyla, Theo and Oliver, who were our top 3 points earners (and Leyla was top of the individual pupil leader board across Harrogate).
We are also delighted to share that we have now reached 2 of our funding goals and therefore over the half-term holiday we have not one, but two exciting installations! We have our new fitness circuit being installed which will support children to develop problem solving skills and gross motor skills during playtimes and breaktimes. Our second installation is our canopy project which will support the delivery of our Forest School, as well as enable teachers to take learning outside. For example, teachers will be able to read stories, perform plays and deliver outdoor learning whilst nestled in our wonderful nature area. Please see the images below for a flavour of what's in-store!
We hope that you have a fantastic half term and we will see you all again on Monday 4th November.
After School Clubs and BAS
Thank you to everyone who has used our new system to book clubs and BAS sessions for the upcoming half term. Please remember to make any bookings you'd like during the half term break.
We’ve received great feedback from many parents, and we’re thrilled with how the new system is being received. A special thank you to those who have shared questions, suggestions, and ideas for improvement. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’ll do our best to adapt the system where possible or pass your thoughts on to Arbor.
We welcome any additional comments!
