Miss McNamara's Message

Next week, we are excited to see the installation of our new outdoor music garden – a brilliant addition that will support music lessons and give pupils another opportunity for creative play. A big thank you to our PTFA for helping to make this project possible.

This week, we welcomed our Primary Director to Coppice Valley. During a learning walk, they were very impressed by the quality of teaching and learning taking place across the school.

Our Year 6 pupils have also returned from their residential, where they took part in a wide range of activities and challenges. Thank you to Miss Ramsay, Mrs Scarsibrick, and Miss Hudson for accompanying the children and making the trip possible. Take a look at our social media pages to see all the fantastic experiences from the week. We are so proud of all of our Year 6 children who have tried new things and stretched themselves out of their comfort zones.

Attendance Home Visits

We now have access to an Attendance Family Support Worker who will be working with our school to help families where attendance has fallen below 95%.

If we are concerned that your child’s attendance isn’t improving, we will email you first to let you know that your family has been identified for some extra support. If your child is not in school after this point or their attendance doesn't improve, you may receive a home visit from our Attendance Family Support Worker and a member of the school team.

These visits are friendly and supportive. They give us the chance to listen, understand any difficulties you might be facing, and work together to help your child get the very best from school – both in their learning and their wellbeing.

PTFA Committee/AGM

The current committee really need your support. We have the upcoming AGM on Wednesday 15th October 2025. If you would like to take on any of the following roles, please email PTFA@cvps.rklt.co.uk with a short personal statement explaining why you would be best fit for the role by the Monday 6th October 2025.
