Miss McNamara's Message

It’s been another busy and brilliant week here at Coppice!

511267804_1487870532513792_4271842195814324669_nA huge well done to our Year 5 and 6 pupils who took part in the RKLT Olympics – we were thrilled to come second overall! Our team showed fantastic determination and skill, especially in the tug of war, where we really shone!! We’re so proud of everyone who took part and represented our school so brilliantly.

Our composting toilets are now complete – please take a look on our Facebook page to see the finished result. We can’t wait for families to try them out at Coppice Fest!

A big thank you to our wonderful PTFA, who met this week to discuss exciting future plans. We also had another successful Healthy Tuck Shop today – the fruit kebabs were a big hit!

Finally, children across the school have been getting creative building floating gardens as part of the RKLT STEM project – fantastic teamwork and problem-solving on display.

Have a restful weekend!

🌿 Forest School Clothing Reminder 🌿

Children should wear blue or black clothing (no bright colours) and bring a suitable jacket if the weather requires. They may wear wellies or trainers, depending on the weather.

This kit is part of school uniform.

HUGE congratulations to Miss Winterburn!

Miss Winterburn has had her gorgeous baby boy, Otto. He is an absolute beauty and we cannot wait for cuddles. I'm sure you'll join us in wishing Miss Winterburn and her family all the very best!

Otto

Class photos will be on Monday for all classes (except Beech and Chestnut). Please come to school in smart, clean, full uniform. If you child has PE this day, please bring PE kit to change into.

Don't forget to practise those smiles! 📷

Family Tech Agreements available in the Coppice Hub

Family tech agreements help set clear expectations around screen time, online safety, and device use at home. By creating one together, families can encourage healthy digital habits and open communication.

Arbor - Debts

As we approach the end of the school year, we kindly ask all parents and carers to ensure that any outstanding payments on Arbor are settled as soon as possible Your prompt attention to this matter helps us close the year smoothly and prepare for the next academic term. If you would like to discuss anything, please don't hesitate to contact Mrs Tunney in the school office.

Thank you for your continued support!

We’ve Struck Gold! - Walk to School Day Success!🥇

We’re thrilled to announce that our school has achieved the Gold Award for our amazing participation in Walk to School Day!

This is a huge celebration of the effort our children, families, and staff put into travelling to school in healthy, sustainable ways. From our Easter Hunt,  special guest Peter Rabbit and music, we’ve made Walk to School Day lots of fun.

A massive thank you goes to Miss Baxter and our fantastic PE Ambassadors who worked so hard to plan and deliver these brilliant events. Their enthusiasm and creativity made every walk a celebration.

We’re proud to be a school that promotes active travel and we’re already looking forward to taking part again next academic year. Let’s keep stepping up together!

Eco-Tip - Unplug Devices When Not in Use 🌱

Even when turned off, many electronics continue to draw power—this is called "phantom energy." Unplugging devices like chargers, coffee makers, and entertainment systems when you're not using them can reduce your energy consumption and lower your electricity bill.
