Miss McNamara's Message
It’s been a fantastic week of learning and creativity at Coppice Valley. Our Christmas performance rehearsals are in full swing and we are really looking forward to welcoming you into school and to the Church for these. Children have impressed us during their sewing of beautiful Christmas decorations and Mrs Haddington has impressed us with the sewing of our Nativity backdrop! Festive spirit filled the air with Crafternoons across year groups; we have loved you joining us to make tree ornaments with hot chocolate. A shout-out of appreciation to those parents who have joined us 3 and 4 times!
Year 4 capped their Roman Empire studies with a thrilling day of soldier training at Murton Park - the pictures and videos are amazing! Meanwhile, Year 6 have excelled in Bikeability training, preparing for safer cycling on the roads.
We have our Governors' meeting on Tuesday and Mrs Leach (previously our EYFS leader and RKLT Director of Early Years) joined us for the first time, as a newly elected governor. We are delighted to have her expertise on our board. We do have a space for one more parent governor on our board and we will be hosting elections in the New Year. We will send out information early in 2025.
Tomorrow, it is our Christmas Fair - we are really looking forward to seeing you all for some festive fun!
Nursery Consultation
We are still in the consultation phase for opening up nursery provision on our site. Please find more information here: Coppice Valley Primary School - Red Kite Learning Trust - Nursery Consultation
Last day of term
This year, school will finish at the usual time of 3:30 pm on Friday, 20th December. In previous years, we have closed earlier on the final day of term. However, after reviewing our timetable and to ensure consistency for families, we have decided to finish at our standard time. For those who use our BAS Club, please note that it will close earlier than usual at 5:00 pm on this day. If you have already booked until 6:00pm, please contact the school office, and we will amend your booking as needed.
Christmas Singalong at St John's Church - Updated Timings
Our KS2 Christmas Singalong will now start at 2:00pm on Monday 16 December, not 1:00pm as previously stated. Please arrive before 2:00pm to take your seats. We are really looking forward to seeing you there!
Feedback
Just a gentle reminder about our feedback forms for school dinners and BAS club. We would welcome any comments and feedback. This helps us to improve our services. We will close they surveys on Friday 13 December. Thank you so much to those who have already completed one or both and provided us with valuable insights.
