Headteacher's Friday Update
Posted 14th July 2023
Dear Parents and Carers,
Library Fund Raising Success
Thanks to Hayden Gilmour, one of our school governors, successfully secured a £350 grant for new books from an independent seller. Mr Cawte took the school council members to Imagined Things in town this week and chose some fantastic books for our library. We also want to thank Alex Dunn and Natalie Jones for collecting funds for the library at a special evening at another local independent retailer, Owl Store. With the help of Hot Chip, they raised £465! Thank you.
New Governors
It’s the last week of term next week and we have lots of lovely things planned to finish off the year.
Wednesday 19th July
The PTA have arranged fand paid for the Ice Cream Van to visit at 10am for all children to get an ice cream or lolly.
Thursday 20th July 2pm – 3.15pm
Please come along to the Family Picnic to celebrate 50 years of the school and the end of the year. You will all have had an email last week, explaining how the event works. Please make sure you have completed a Microsoft Forms link to tell us how your child is being collected and looked after at the picnic. We need all children to have had a Form completed, even if you or a family member is not attending. Remember to bring cash along if you want to buy a drink and a scone from the cabin.
The children have been working really hard for the last 2 weeks on getting their Art Exhibition ready for you to see on Thursday 20th July. While you are at the picnic, please visit the school hall via the external fire doors, to see your child’s work.
Friday 21st July
School closes at 2pm on Friday. Please make sure all children are collected at 2pm.

Spread the word, and help support our school!
