We have had another lovely week at Coppice Valley! We have continued practising the shared routines that help our children feel confident, settled and ready to learn. From our ‘Show Me Five’ listening routine and ‘One Mindful Minute’ to lining up after lunchtime, these familiar routines help everyone move calmly and happily through the school day as well as maximise learning time.

We have had another wonderful week at Coppice Valley! Our Year 6 children have been away on their residential and have had a fantastic time. Residential experiences are a wonderful opportunity for pupils to develop their confidence, independence and resilience. They learn to work as a team, try new things and create special memories with their friends.

Welcome back!! What a special week it has been at Coppice Valley! We began on Monday with a valuable staff INSET day focused on consistent routines across school, safeguarding and first-aid training. This helped to ensure that everyone was well prepared to provide a safe, calm and positive environment in which our children can thrive.

What a year it has been! As we reach the final day of term, I want to say a huge thank you to our children, families and staff for everything you have brought to Coppice Valley this year. There has been so much to celebrate, and I am incredibly proud of our school community.

As we reach the end of another busy week, I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Coppice Fest. It was lovely to see so many families spending time together, enjoying the activities and making the most of the afternoon. Although we had to make a number of changes because of the heat, It was still a relaxed and fun event that brought our school community together. Thank you to our staff, PTFA and volunteers who helped make the afternoon such a success.

It has been one of those weeks where there has been lots going on behind the scenes, as well as plenty for the children to enjoy. A huge thank you to Mrs Hawkins for organising our Art Day this week. She planned the entire day from Reception to Year 6, with each year group exploring a different artist and creating work inspired by their style. The classrooms were full of creativity and enthusiasm throughout the day, and it was lovely to see the children so engaged. One of my favourite parts was at the end of the day when classes moved around the school to look at each other's work. There was a real sense of pride, with children keen to share what they had created and admire the work of others.
