May Friday Update

Posted 2nd May 2024

Message from Miss McNamara

Spring has sprung! This week we have felt the sunshine on our faces and it has been a joy. We are hoping to be able to get on the field very soon, if the dry weather continues.

We had a fantastic Family Breakfast on Tuesday - it was lovely to see so many of you and we hope you found the library and FEAST useful resources. A big thank you to Mrs Batty who put on a great spread for the event.

Our celebrations this week are for our wonderful parents.

We had a team of volunteers to help us put together the IKEA outdoor classroom furniture (and we roped them into some furniture removal too to get our money's worth!). They were absolutely fabulous and worked both quickly and tidily - top marks!

Emily May came along with her own shovel to edge the path into school and as usual, Mrs Archblold, more recently joined by Mrs Morris, came and gardened in our community space. We are so appreciative of all your support - it helps keep our school beautiful and means we can spend more of our budget on curriculum resources - thank you.

Our playground fence (roughly 15m long) needs sanding and painting - if you think you could help with this, let the school office know. Equipment will be supplied!

Oh Baby!

Celebrations this week continue with the announcement of Miss Dodd's wonderful news - she is expecting baby #2. We are absolutely delighted for her and I am sure you will join us in wishing her congratulations. Miss Dodd will go on maternity leave around October.

As you can see, Stanley is pretty excited too.

Sky Diving!

As you know, Emily May is doing a sky dive and hoping to raise some money for our community garden too. We are 83% of the way towards our target and the sky dive is just 15 days away! If you can contribute, we would love to meet our target.
