Miss McNamara's Message
As we move into the final few weeks of term, there’s a real buzz around school - children are excitedly preparing for end-of-year performances, enjoying outdoor learning in Forest School, and reflecting on all they’ve achieved this year. I have been busy reading all of the children's end of year reports and it is a pleasure to read about so much confidence and progress across every year group.
Tomorrow, all Coppice Valley staff will be joining colleagues from across the Red Kite Learning Trust at Temple Learning Academy in Leeds for a very special event: Make a Difference Day.
This day matters because it reflects one of the most important principles of our Trust: that every role, every voice and every contribution makes a difference. Across all our schools and teams, we are building a culture rooted in inclusion, accessibility and belonging - and tomorrow is a chance for us to come together and deepen that work.
Through Key Note speakers and practical workshops, we’ll explore how we can better support every child to feel seen, heard, and valued. We’ll also be developing our Difference Pledge, a shared commitment that will guide our day-to-day work with pupils across the Trust. Mrs Fineran will be delivering one of the workshops to colleagues across our Trust, focused on inclusive practices in primary classrooms.
I’m really proud that Coppice Valley will be contributing to this collective learning and helping shape strategies that benefit children in every classroom - not just our own.

Goodbye, Mr Greg!
This week we’re saying a big goodbye to someone very special, Mr. Greg!
Mr. Greg has been a superhero of our school for 5 years – fixing things, keeping us safe, and always greeting everyone with a big smile. Whether it was health and safety checks, a squeaky door, a leaky tap, taking care of our school grounds, shovelling snow or just someone needing a helping hand, Mr. Greg was always there.
Thank you, Mr. Greg, for everything you’ve done for us. We hope your next adventure is full of fun, laughter, and maybe a few less broken things to fix!
From all of us at Coppice – we’ll miss you!
