Miss McNamara's Message

It has been another very busy week in school, we are so proud of all the opportunities we offer our pupils. In the last 5 school days, we have had:

  • Year 1&2 Sleepover – A huge thank you to the staff team who made this such a special experience for our children. From cooking tea to helping make beds and staying late into the evening, their care and commitment ensured a memorable event for the children. The children were so well behaved and for some of them, it was their very first time sleeping away from home.

  • New Menu Taster - Our kitchen team cooked up our new menu for children and families to sample. There is a lot of hard-work behind to scenes to design nutritionally balanced and delicious food for our children. You can have a mixed approach to the meals your child has and these can be paid for via Arbor.
  • Year 1 Trip – A fantastic and successful visit for some of our youngest pupils, who represented the school brilliantly and embraced the experience with enthusiasm. Thank you to our parent helpers who helped to make this a success.

  • Parents’ Evening – Thank you to all families who attended. These conversations are invaluable in supporting each child's progress and strengthening the partnership between home and school.

  • Walk to School Day – Thank you to Miss Baxter for organising this important event and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles across our school community. There was a  great buzz at the start if the school day and a shout-out to Peter Rabbit who made his second guest appearance!

  • U10s Football Tournament – Well done to our team who took part with great spirit and determination. Thank you again to Miss Baxter for her support and organisation. Thank you to our parent helpers who championed the group!

  • Family Breakfast – Another fab morning organised by our chief-hostess, Mrs Batty. It was lovely to see families coming together and enjoying time in school – thank you to everyone involved.

Looking ahead to next week, we are really looking forward to our PTFA Sponsored Bounce and our Values Assembly.

In case you missed it, here is the link to our recent Anglo-Saxon Day, which captures some of the fantastic learning experiences taking place in school. Please make sure you follow our social media to see all of our updates. A huge thank you to Mrs Hawkins who used her amazing photography skills to capture the day. Mrs Hawkins has a wedding videography business (Charlotte Quinn Films) which you can see more about here.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

New Menu for Summer

We are so excited to launch our brand-new Summer Term Menu! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the menu‑tasting event on Wednesday after school, it was wonderful to welcome so many families. The feedback was fantastic, and it was a joy to see so many little faces trying (and loving!) new foods!

To help us stay eco‑friendly, we won’t be sending printed copies home this time. However, full menus are available in the school entrance and will also be uploaded online for easy access.

Here’s to a bright, fresh, and delicious Summer term! 🌞🥗🍓

Can You Help with Our Front of School Project?

We are looking for anyone in our school community with joinery or DIY skills who might be able to support us in building raised beds at the front of school.

This will help us continue developing the space for pupils and families to enjoy, and any help, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.

If you, or someone you know, has the skills and a bit of time to spare, please get in touch with the school office.
Thank you so much for your support! 🙂
