Cllr Peter Lacey
Trust Appointed Governor
Peter has over 30 years’ experience in the health and care sector, mainly as a management consultant working with regional and national commissioning bodies and Local Authorities to improve partnership working. His work covers strategic workforce planning, understanding local health and care needs and supporting joint working. Peter has an MBA from Durham University and an MA in Applied Professional Ethics from Leeds University.
In recent years Peter has also been active in community development, in part as a response to the COVID pandemic. He is chair of Knaresborough Connectors and a member of his local Chamber of Trade. In 2022 he was elected as North Yorkshire Council Councillor for Coppice Valley and Duchy.
Peter has a family steeped in education with close family members working at each stage of education from pre-school to tertiary, although teacher talk at parties is still frowned on! He is married with four sons and three grandchildren (to date) and enjoys walking the dogs, swimming, singing, playing Tuba and (dare he admit it) building his train set in the attic.
