Hello, my name is Mrs Riley and I teach in Sycamore class. I live in Harrogate and I have two young children. I have a degree in Physical Education from Leeds Metropolitan University, with a huge love of football, playing at national level and I have a passion for outdoor learning and Forest Schools. I have recently undertaken my Forest School Level 3 certification.
Before undertaking my PGCE at York St John University, I worked as a gym director at The Little Gym, Harrogate. Since becoming a primary school teacher, I have taught in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, being an early reading and history leader in my previous school. I love taking learning outdoors wherever possible. I am so excited to utilise the amazing school grounds at Coppice and feel lucky to be working in such a wonderful environment. I enjoy music and play the drums in a local band. I wrote the song, ‘Learners for Life’ for the school, as I love the ethos and values behind the Coppice Valley curriculum offer and ethos.
I am super excited to join the wonderful Coppice Valley community and can’t wait to get to know you and your children.
