Key Stage 2 Leader

My passion for teaching started as a young child when I would sit all my teddies down and start teaching them English and Maths.

In 2014 I graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in English Language. I then became a Teaching Assistant for a year before going on to study a Postgraduate degree in Primary Education. During my training year I was lucky enough to work at Coppice Valley as a student teacher. As my placement came to an end I knew this school was perfect for me and I really didn’t want to leave. Fast forward a couple of months and I had got my dream job at Coppice Valley!

I am now in my seventh year of teaching here and lead English across the school. I also lead Key Stage 2 and I have recently gained a National Professional Qualification for Middle leadership to support my role.

I have a very active toddler so a lot of my spare time is taken up at soft plays and farms!
