School Improvement
School Improvement at Coppice Valley
At Coppice Valley, we believe that school improvement is a continuous journey rather than a one-off event. It is a cycle of exploring and researching, weighing up options and actions, implementing change, and evaluating its impact over time.
We recognise that effective improvement relies on collaboration across our whole school community:
-
Leadership and governance: Our senior leaders and governors meet regularly to review progress, respond to emerging needs, and ensure that improvement work stays on track.
-
Staff leadership: With distributed leadership at the heart of our approach, staff play a key role in driving change. They work together on curriculum, teaching, and learning projects—trialling new ideas, sharing best practice, and modelling successful strategies.
-
Parental involvement: Parents are regularly consulted through school events, online surveys, and dedicated working parties, ensuring their perspectives shape school priorities.
-
Pupil voice: Pupils are central to our decision-making. Every term, all pupils take part in our Pupil Voice Conference, sharing their views on school life and contributing ideas for improvement.
Our structures and systems ensure that this collaborative approach leads to sustained, meaningful improvement for every child.
